The National Water Command Centre has advised people living in numerous districts in 23 provinces across the country to brace for flash floods, river overflows and mudslides from this Friday until August 2nd.

The high risk areas are:

  • North: Umphang district of Tak province and Ban Rai district of Uthai Thani province
  • Northeast: Kaset Sombun district of Chaiyaphum, Mueang district of Nong Khai, Seka and Bueng Khong Long districts of Bueng Kan, Tha Uthen and Si Songkhram districts of Nakhon Phanom, Khok Si Suphan district of Sakhon Nakhon, Salaphum and Phon Thong districts of Roi-et, Nang Rong district of Buri Ram, Chumphon Buri district of Surin, Phu Sing, Khukhan, Khun Han and Prang Ku districts of Si Sa Ket and Buntharik district of Ubon Ratchathani.
  • South: Mueang, Kapoe and Kra Buri districts of Ranong, Mueang, Khura Buri, Takua Pa and Thai Muang districts of Phang-nga, Mueang, Krathu and Thalang districts of Phuket, Mueang district of Krabi, Ban Ta Khun and Phanom districts of Surat Thani and Chang Klang district of Nakhon Si Thammarat
  • East: Tha Takiab district of Chachoengsao, Bo Thong district of Chon Buri, Khao Chamao, Ban Khai, Klaeng and Ban Chang districts of Rayong, Mueang, Khlung, Makham, Khao Kitchakut, Tha Mai, Pong Namron, Kaeng Hang Maeo and Na Yai Am districts of Chanthaburi and Mueng, Bo Rai, Ko Chang, Laem Ngop and Khao Saming districts of Trat
